Happy Halloween

So I guess you all have figured out I am always behind on my blogging but I wanted to show you how cute Zach was in his costume. I dressed him up as Curious George and Paul was the man in the yellow hat. My cute friend Ashley took these pictures for us, she works at the JC Penny portrait studio at the south towne mall. Awesome job Ash! :) Isn't Zach such a cute monkey!! Paul was such a great sport too!!

Paul's 30th Birthday!

I know that this is a little bit late but everything always is with me... So it was Paul's 30th Birthday on the 3rd of this month. I had been planning a huge surprise party and gift for him for the past year. We had the party/dinner at Johnny Carino's on his birthday, he had no idea! I am so bad with secrets so it was really hard for me to pull this off but I did it and I was so excited about it. Paul totally thought that it was just him, me and Zach going to dinner but little did he know there was a room full of friends and family waiting for him. I had called and made reservations and sent out invitations, the whole nine yards. He was so shocked when we walked in! It was awesome!! I also gave him an AWESOME birthday present... I sent him to a Denver Broncos game the following weekend. If you know Paul, you know he lives for football and especially the Broncos. I got the tickets to the game and plane tickets (with my father-in-law's help), I called Paul's boss and took the weekend off for him, it was so awesome! He was so surprised and excited about it! I am the best wife ever!!! No offence ladies but it's true! Paul was so shocked that I had pulled this whole thing off without him knowing anything. I rocked it out! :) I made him a little certificate with a poem telling him he got to go to the game, it was so cute I will have to take a pic of it and post it for you all. Anyway the whole thing turned out so well! It was so much fun and so stressful all at the same time. I was really glad when it was all over though so I could stop lying to Paul, I am a really bad liar so it was hard even though it was all for a good cause! :) Thanks to everyone who came to the party and helped me with everything. We had a great time! :) So here are some of the pics from the party... I will post pics from the game when I get them (I didn't go with him, and I had the camera... We will get pics from Craig and post them so you all can see how much fun Paul had!)

This was when we first walked in... SURPRISE!!

Paul was so shocked!

Zach didn't really know what to think of everyone yelling..

This was a gift from Parker & Dayna, it was a venus fly trap... I love how Parker is laughing so hard in the background and Paul doesn't get what it is. It was so funny... Paul even said "I don't get it!" Awesome gift guys! :)

Paul opening his Broncos attire.. Zach and I got him a hat, long sleeve t-shirt and a hoodie, you never know what the weather is going to be like in Denver.

This was the certificate telling him about the trip, he said "I'm going to the Broncos game!? You always say you want to go to a Broncos game!" Then I told him I wasn't going and he said "So I have to go alone? That's no fun!?" Then I told him who was going and he said "Oh, ok. I really didn't want to go alone!" He is so silly!

Thanks Mauna & Craig for giving Paul the plane ticket.. a GREAT Birthday present! :)

I don't love this pic of me but I was so excited about the whole thing, I couldn't stop smiling and laughing at Paul's reactions to everything! It was AWESOME! I am so lucky to have the best husband, Paul is so sweet and he gives us so much that I wanted to do something so special and exciting for him. I know he loved it and I am so grateful to everyone who came to celebrate with us! Paul said later that he was so happy to see everyone there and he said that he didn't realize he had so many good friends and family to celebrate his Birthday with. Thank you SO much everyone! :)

Family Pictures...

I decided we would take family pictures at the same time we took Zach's one year pictures. I just thought that we would share them with you, I love them so I hope you all like them just as much as we do! :)

Zach's First Birthday!

July 4th 2008
I know it has been almost 2 and a half months but finally here are the pictures of Zach's birthday. We had the party at Willow Creek Park, and it was a lot of fun! I worked long and hard before hand to make the invitations, (Thanks Aunt Kristi for the use of your Cricit!) I also made both of the cakes (Thanks mom for all of your help and encouragement over the phone) and last but not least the cute pin the tail on the Lion game. If you can't tell we had a Lion themed party! It was so much fun all except the part where I was sick as a dog all day long, ya I thought I was going to die! We will get back to that in a bit... So we played pin the tail on the lion and opened gifts (thanks again to everyone for your cute gifts!) then Zach dug into his cake and everyone else had some of the other cake. I missed the entire cake segment of the party because I was sure I was going to die at any moment! I hope everyone else had a good time! :) We also had planned to go to the West Jordan Stampede and watch the fireworks but again for the 2nd year in a row we missed it. At least last year we got something really awesome for missing the fun, not so much this year! :( I guess it is a good thing that Zach wasn't sick and he won't remember that I missed most of his party. He also won't know that we didn't see fireworks or go to the rodeo! :) Next year is bound to be better right? Let's hope so! Thanks again to everyone who came to the party! I hope you enjoy the slide show.. there are a lot of pictures but they are so fun! Enjoy! :)

Zach Attack!!

So these pictures are over 2 months old but I am still trying to catch up... I just thought I would post some cute and silly pictures of Zach Attack.

He was so silly with the Peek-a-boo when he finally figured it out he loved to play and I love this pic of his cute "boo" face.

If you don't know Zach was afraid of animal noises for the longest time. Whenever Paul would moo like a cow Zach would make this face and sometimes he would cry. I guess I am a bad mom but I thought it was too funny and I knew (well hoped) it would not last long so I had to get a picture of it! :)

Zach loves to drink his bath water... please tell me this is just a phase and he will grow out of it soon! :) By the way how awesome is the water, Crayola makes these tablets that color the water, they are so fun!

This was the first time he un-rolled the toilet paper, he was just too cute to get mad at so I took pictures instead. They make me smile when I look at them and I love how he is dragging it behind him as he tries to make his get away! What a cute little stinker!!

Family picture day...

One Sunday afternoon we met Marci and Dan at Gardner Village to take pictures of each other. It was a beautiful day but it was too sunny and Paul and I are squinting in all of the pictures. Zach did not want to smile so, as you can see none of the pictures turned out all that well. There were quite a few that I thought were really cute and funny but I don't know that any will go on the wall. Thanks Marci for your best efforts though, we had a great time! :) I do love the ones where we are looking at the pond.. that way you can't see our squinty eyes. :)

Zach and Paul had to check out the ducks while we were at the Village.

Messy boy!!

Kelsie turned 18 in June so we went to dinner and hung out with them on her birthday. I made her a lion cake like Zach was going to have on his birthday as a practice. After dinner we went to Kelsie's for cake and ice cream...

Aunt Kristi made Zach his own ice cream cone... And this is where it begins...

He then got into the cake...

Then back to the ice cream...

Tried to attack Aunt Kristi...

And then attacked the cake again... Oh my goodness! He was a wreck, yes we did give him a bath before we took him home! He was more into getting messy with this cake than he was on his birthday. Sad day!
